Rotary Kiln Furnace
The Rotary Kiln Furnace are used for incineration of
combustible industrial wastes, especially wastes which contains high
percentage of plastic wastes, on a stable basis, reducing the volume of
wastes and rendering them harmless. Rotary kiln furnaces can be used for
multiple jobs. With power rating of 500 KW the rotary kiln has been used
for the gasification and pyrolysis of sewerage sludge. These kilns are applied mainly in continuous processes, including cement manufacturing and the drying of granular materials. The rotary kilns consist of long tubes lying almost horizontally that are rotated slowly as heat is applied to the material being treated inside the tubes. The fuel used may be electricity, oil, gas, or coal. The temperature of firing and the length of time required depend on the design of the kiln and the type of material being fired. Using rotary kilns, the waste is effectively reduced. solid wastes too are treated using rotary kiln furnace and feeder. The waste materials are transferred to the other side by the rotation and incline of the rotary kiln furnace. The process results in the decomposition of wastes by the heat radiation from after combustion chamber. The residual of this pyrolysis process are burned on the stokers, which are installed at the end of the rotary kiln furnace. And thermal decomposed gas is suitably incinerated in the after combustion chamber by using the multi stage combustion technologies. For both low and high viscosity liquid wastes these rotary kilns are useful. The low viscosity liquid wastes are injected into the after combustion chamber to evaporate the water and burn the volatile matters. Whereas the high viscosity liquid wastes, are fed into the rotary kiln furnace with other solid wastes. Features Following are the features of rotary kiln furnace:
