What Is Natural Gas Catalytic Infrared?
It is a flame less heating technology that produces a uniform, low
intensity heat. Different range of materials including powder paints,
readily and evenly absorbs its medium- to long-wavelength energy. It is
the infrared light wavelength which determines the temperature the
source will receive. The shorter the wavelength, the higher the source
temperature. Using different wavelengths of light in the IR spectrum
band is adjusted in Natural gas IR heating.
The technology works by a diffusion process in which the natural gas
and air meet at a catalyst sandwiched between two layers. The layer is
formed by air and natural gas, in a counter diffusion mode. As the heat
is transferred through radiation only the surface of the part and the
powder must be heated rather than the whole part. The absence of blowers
has its own advantage. This enables the ovens to consume less energy as
compared to convection oven. Moreover it also safe and environment
friendly.
