Burner
The burner is an important device that uses an auxiliary fuel like natural gas or oil and is sized to heat the incoming gas stream from the inlet temperature to the oxidation temperature.

Mixing zone
The heat from the burner is distributed throughout the process gas stream in the mixing zone which is a chamber

Combustion chamber
The combustion chamber is constructed of those materials that can withstand high temperatures. There size is big enough to provide sufficient retention time for the heated gases to complete their oxidation reaction.
