Direct Flame Incinerators are important thermal
oxidizers that consist of only a combustion chamber with no heat
recovery from the incinerator.
Typically used in applications with dangerous pollutants (explosive, corrosive or poisonous) Cofiguration The direct flame incinerator consist of following parts: Burner The burner is an important device that uses an auxiliary fuel like natural gas or oil and is sized to heat the incoming gas stream from the inlet temperature to the oxidation temperature. Mixing zone The heat from the burner is distributed throughout the process gas stream in the mixing zone which is a chamber Combustion chamber The combustion chamber is constructed of those materials that can withstand high temperatures.
