 Box
Furnace
Box furnace are most sought after furnace because of
their uniform heating and other features. They are available in either
electric powered or gas-fired models. They are highly productive because
they heat the work load capacity rapidly thereby minimizing, the cycle
time. Box heating furnace can also be used to handle very heavy, dense
loads which results in the maximizing of the output in a very compact,
efficient package. Through the unique recirculating convection heating
system the work is brought rapidly to temperature thereby forcing
pressurized air through the load at high velocity. Since the fan and
heater are separate from the load chamber, loading the furnace is
foolproof.
Features
Following are the features of the box furnace:
- The furnace consist of separate work / heat chambers.
- Work chamber is lined with metals having ceramic insulation.
- There is a high velocity re-circulating fan.
- Heat can be controlled easily through the use of various devices
like digital microprocessor based, thermocouple actuated, indicating
temperature controller and the modulating modulating burner on gas
furnaces.
- When door is opened, door interlock switch turns off power to
heating elements and restores power when door is closed.
- The furnace consist of various other safety equipments like
adjustable, thermocouple actuated, manual reset excess temperature
controller, combustion air blower with air flow safety switch, high
gas pressure switch.
Advantages
- Uniform temperature distribution
- Insulation system makes the furnace very productive
- Easy to use and installation
- Cost of maintenance is low
