• Refractory is the important part of the boiler that protects the metal surfaces at critical points such as the rear door and in the furnace. Inspection of this refractory is necessary to insure protection. Cracks and the broken piece should be looked into. The refractory should be treated with a high temperature bonding, air dry mortar. hi-temp bonding cement should be used to face all cracks. Replace those bricks that shows the sign of excessive wear.
  
  
• The regular cleaning of the boiler depends on the fuel you burn, the hours run etc. If the fireside or waterside is dirty, the boiler must be cleaned on a regular basis.
  
  
• Electrical equipment should be kept clean.
  
  
• Adequate fresh air supply should be maintained.
  
  
• Clean filters helps in maintaining the regular flow of the fuels hence it should be cleaned regularly.
  
  
• Fuel record should be kept regularly.
